Dangers of social media

Many problems can be caused by the uses of social media although it creates enjoyment and fun. People can be quite careless when it comes to using social media and can put very personal information public so everyone around the world can see it. If you post something online it will be there forever even if you delete it, it will never be truly deleted it will always be there.

The main problem on social media is cyberbullying, and is most common in teenagers. Teenagers think it is way easier to say things to people behind a screen than to their face so teenagers are more likely to get bullied online than in any other places.

Another problem would be your identity can be stolen, if you release personal information to the public people have ways to find out your bank details, your address,  phone number and a number of other things. Someone could even commit crimes in your name and it would be on your criminal record when it wasn’t you but it was you who put your information publicly online. To prevent this from happening you should put your accounts on private so everyone other than friends can see your personal information.
